Review: Vatican Assassin #1

Last week I previewed Vatican Assassin #1

And now I have ahad a chance to read the first issue.

This is where my 2000AD influences come into play. Reading the likes of Cannon Fodder and Devlin Waugh, I have always enjoyed a bit of religion in comics. There always seem to be so many variations.

In Vatican Assassin, the major religions have planetry power, with political infighting, intreague and assassins!

Mike Luoma writes a story which moves in a fast pace, but leaves you, and the end of the issue, with an understanding of what this universe is like, and where we are heading.

The art is grim dark, matching the tone of the story well.  Allowing the eye to get a good idea of peoples reactions, although sometimes confusing.
