Following on from the iVerse/IDW release on the iPhone last week:
Stupid, stupid, stupid!
I didn’t realise, when I announced the comic on the iPhone last week that this is the comic of the book which the movie Payback is based on!
Make sense?
Right – First the book ‘The Hunter’ was written by Donal E Westlake. Then the movie ‘Point Break’ was based off it in 1967. Then Payback (with Mel Gibson) was made in 1999. The graphic novel was made in 2009.
Now thats out of the way.
This is an excellent read – you get 244 screens in issue one and you are hooked from one page to the next. I really enjoyed Payback – but this is a different gravy. It reminds me of the style of Box 13 and because of Box 13 I am really looking forward to getting more in this style. They seem to suit the iPhone very well. I would be interested to see the difference between this and the book, so I may have to get that too!
