Ultimate Comics: Thor #1 is available on the iPhone & iPad from the Marvel app. For £2.39 it was released at the same time as the print version. I hope we will get the rest of the series the same!
Jonathan Hickman’s work is brilliant – he has crafted some great stories in Fantastic Four, Secret Warriors and SHIELD. So it will be interesting to see his take on Thor.
The ‘Ultimate’ Thor has less continuity than the 616 Thor, so Hickman adds in Zemo and the Nazi’s for good measure. The added additions of Donald Blake and the Braddocks adds to the familiarity of the story.
The art is sketchy in places, but there are some nice big fight scenes, with big panels. I especially like Zemo
It will be interesting to see where this goes!
