Mobile Comics Year In Review: Marvel

As we come towards the end of the year, I am going to be reflecting on the state of mobile comics and the changes we have had over the last twelve months. I will be looking at distributors, contributors and publishers.

I have to admit, I’m slightly dissapointed with Marvel. Marvel have an incredibly strong library, but they seem to be releasing a lot of older comics. This has started to change, but the release of mini series such as Ultimate Thor and Ultimate Captain America, doesn’t cut the mustard as far as I am concerned.

the Marvel app, built on the Comixology engine, could be a great leader for Marvel, but all there strength seems to be geared towards their online comics reading.

I have heard that this may be changing in the new year, so hopefully this is a change for the better.
