Over at his blog, Mike Jasper has an excellent post on the hows of setting up In Maps & Legends as a digital comic. It’s an excellent point for any buddingÂ independentÂ creator to look at!
In particular, weâ€™ve had great success working withÂ Comixology andÂ Graphic.ly, who have become the pioneers and big guns of distributing digital comics (and theyâ€™ve been nothing but incredible to work with). I highly recommend getting your digital comics online with them â€” theyâ€™re fine people, and they seem especially open to creator-owned comics.
Weâ€™ve also been pleasantly surprised by the success weâ€™ve had selling PDFs withDriveThruComics, a great site with tons of comics and aÂ great, easy-to-use interface for uploading comics, doing promotional work, and tracking your sales in real time. That last one is huge.
