After the success of the last one – ICv2 are having another digital conference!

ICv2 CMD Conference 2011 logo

ICv2 has announced that it will host the ICv2 Comics, Media, and Digital Conference in conjunction with San Diego Comic-Con International this July.  “This year we’re going to take a look at the two most powerful trends impacting comics,” ICv2 CEO Milton Griepp said of the Conference.  “The growing transmedia uses of comics and their digital expression are the forces transforming comics into something previously unseen.”

The ICv2 Comics, Media, and Digital Conference, held Wednesday afternoon July 20th (just before Comic-Con Preview Night), is a ticketed half-day event bringing together producers, agents, managers, publishers, artists and writers, digital executives, retailers, librarians, and others interested in the future of comics in all their forms.

Registration for this half day event (1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.) will open soon.

Join indy-creator Chuck Bordell as he takes us on a walk down Mean Street!

Offspring

Half-human, half-vampire…all woman! The story of Margot, a child abandoned who returns home to a world of shadows and blood just in time for a war with her father’s greatest nemesis! Will she accept the power that courses through her veins and stand against the creature that attempted to slay her as an infant?

Kuzimu: Lu-se#1

The Ku-zimu is a world of spirits, according to the tribes of East Africa. It is an underground realm where the dead reside until they are forgotten. Legend says that these souls may climb back up into the world of the living as a snake.
What actually lies in wait after death is nothing like they imagined.

Pt’eros experiences more waking visions of the Maasai boy and his life, while Annie fends predatory spirits called the Observers. She begins to teach him about the Ku-zimu and its inhabitants, while her powerful friends are revealed.

Jose Zempa continues to keep tabs on Pt’eros, while still haunted by his own demons. The dead living under the iron ceiling, the Mu-Zimu, meet to plan for the coming war with the angelic Memumium from above.
Their high priest Tap reveals he has left their temple to search out Pt’eros to this end.

Kuzimu: Syoma #1

The Ku-zimu is a world of spirits, according to the tribes of East Africa. It is an underground realm where the dead reside until they are forgotten. Legend says that these souls may climb back up into the world of the living as a snake.
What actually lies in wait after death is nothing like they imagined.

Pt’eros is a reptilian traveler in a world of the dead parallel to our own, trying to find peace in a place overshadowed by oppression and war. The beliefs and memories of all cultures are given form in a place of illusion where time is meaningless, only perception exists. Powerful beings observe and manipulate events, working towards an unknown goal.

Pt’eros meets the angelic dead and their leader Seraph, who reside above the iron ceiling. As these holy warriors attack the dark denizens around him, Pt’eros tries to escape being captured or ‘converted’. Jose Zempa, a haunted sleuth working undercover for Seraph, closes in on the battle while the great dragons Gog and Magog watch over them all.

The beliefs and memories of all cultures are given form in a place of illusion where time is meaningless, only perception exists. Powerful beings observe and manipulate events, working towards an unknown goal.

To find a way of escaping, Pt’eros may have to seek out strange new allies and the truth behind his visions of a young Maasai boy. His only hope amongst the terror and darkness seems to be the glowing white apparition of a young blonde girl, who he chases to an even stranger place.
