Harlequin Manga Titles On The Barnes & Noble Nook

 

Gardena, CA (August 18, 2011) - Digital Manga, Inc., one of the manga industry’s most unique and creative publishers, is proud to announce the launch of Harlequin manga titles to the Barnes & Noble Nook e-reading devices! In cooperation with SOFTBANK Creative Corp., Digital Manga will launch the first batch of 20 Harlequin manga titles to theB&N Nookbook Store and will continue to do so with over a hundred more titles to follow in the weeks and months ahead, including foreign editions in Chinese, Korean, and French.

 

Harlequin, a Canadian company focused on the romance genre, founded a Japanese branch – Harlequin K. K. in Tokyo in 1988. Since then they have translated hundreds of their novels for the Japanese market. In 2001 they began adapting some of their novels into manga form using talented Japanese mangaka. Starting in 2009, in collaboration with SOFTBANK Creative Corp., these popular manga were translated into english (and other foreign languages) for distribution outside of Japan.

 

Digital Manga will be starting off their Harlequin manga release priced at $5.99 each and available in two editions—the Nook Edition (good for the Nook First Edition device and the new Nook Simple Touch Reader),  and the Nook Color Edition, formatted for each device’s own screen resolution.

 

The first batch of Harlequin titles available are as followed:

Accidental Mistress, The Apartment, A Bed of Sand, The Blacksheep’s Prince’s Bride, The Cinderella Inheritance, The Color of Desire, Desert Warrior, The Greek Millionaire’s Marriage, In the Arms of the Sheikh, Keeping Luke’s Secret, Love Child, Married Under the Italian Sun, The Millionaire’s Secret Wish, The Expectant Princess, Powerful Persuasion, Prisoner of the Tower, A Royal Proposition, Sale or Return Bride, The Sheikh’s Contract Bride, To Marry McAllister
