So, while 3 Million Years was quiet, I went to the new London Super Comic Con at the eXcel in London.
Some thoughts first on the show itself.
There was a long queue to get in, but once it started moving the queue moved very quickly.
The queue for Stan Lee was massive, Stan himself must be bionic to work as hard as him. He’s a good age too!
There was a fair amount of costumes, with my daughter getting in on the act!
Also there was the Stormtroopers and a couple of Spider-Men (that’s Wolverine in the background)
It was great to meet some people who I had only spoken to electronically – Niki, Cy and Harry at Markosia, the guys on IDW.
I also met Peter Mason, who is the colourist on the upcoming sequel to Cancertown from Markosia and will be plugging his two webcomics too!
There was a good number of creators, artist and writers there too.
My daughter got a copy of The Superfun Adventures of Jax – getting it signed by creator/artist Britt Snyder
My son got a copy and had a chat with Simon Furman and got a signed copy of Transformers too!
We also queued for a while to meet David Lloyd of V For Vendetta and Kickback fame.
David was an incredibly nice guy and chatted to me about digital comics and art in general – even letting my daughter watch him sketch over his shoulder!
I’m looking forward to next year!
In all it was a long day, but worth it!
