Review: 2000AD – Prog 1785

This week we get more chaos, more gorehead and the return of the strontium dogs!

We start with Judge Dredd – Tea for Two where we get a break from the chaos (nearly!) with Dredd spending a bit of downtime to visit his niece. Regrettably things aren’t as calm as he would like.
This is a nice little aside from the main story which calms things down from the massive story which is going on in the background!

Flesh: Midnight Cowboys also gives us a respite, neatly finishing off the arc, while giving us a vision for what’s to come in the future. The style and manner in which this is done is unique and give a sense of closure.

Durham Red: The ‘Nobody Wants This Job’ Job brings a welcome return to the search/destroy agents. This is some nice old school S/D storytelling with suitable art to match! It’s nice to see Johnny in the land of the living too! I can’t wait for the next part!

Grey Area is a new Prog – taking the place of the previous time twisters and horror tales. This is a classic 2000ad trope – taking a real world issue and bending it. This has the look of some excellent 2000ad storytelling.

Cadet Anderson: Algol proves me right with an adequate conclusion to this story. These stories are nice to read as they aren’t bogged down by continuity.
