Review: 2000AD Prog 1802

We continue with the fallout from the Chaos Bug and the lead into a new epic in the life of Judge Dredd!

First things first though – how brilliant is that cover?

As mentioned above, we are still dealing with the problems and solutions caused by Chaos Day in Judge Dredd. This second part of Payback has recriminations and some solutions but leaves some threads hanging to pick up later. I’m sure this isn’t the end of the issues with the space marines, so I’m happy to leave it here!

Twisted Tales was a nice change of pace, and well positioned after the Dredd story to change gear. The slow burn and the scratchy style were very intentional and well done here! The exclamation mark that finishes these titles is very apt!

We’re into the third part of new series Brass Sun and it’s becoming one of my favourites. The art and colouring fit the story extremely well and the mythos for this world is very well set! It gives me a feel of Small Gods by Terry Pratchett!

The ABC Warriors continue in this wonderful artistic piece – Return To Earth, such a harsh mix compared to the previous story, but is very apt to the story being told!

Grey Area deals with alien diplomats and how to deal with there crimes. There is some nice pacing here, and the art is crisp and clean.  This is, in a way a classic story, how do you deal with diplomats crimes? But with an alien twist, so you’re not sure where it’s going to go!
