Like a comic version of the Twilight Zone you get two short done in one stories. The first is a Halloween story about the ‘Halloween Man’ who sucks souls out of people and the second involves spooky old people and cults.
The two stories have very different art, with the first having a cleaner, but distorted style. The second story is a dark story that makes heavy use of oranges, reds and blacks.
The pacing is pretty smooth, but the second story could especially do with more pages.
Dark Universe is available through ComicsPlus, Comixology and DriveThuComics.
