This story covers the whole of New York but still gives the claustrophobic impression which makes this title recommended reading with all the lights on!
The pacing of this story is excellent, and it keeps you drawn in – even though at this point of the story there are many characters to keep a handle on! Each character has time enough to shine (or dim in some cases).
The flashback at the beginning of the volume makes a perfect frame for what is to come and adds a sense of the darkness to come to America!
The art itself only increase the darkness you feel closing in, the pints of action come sharp and snap into place in jarring way that adds to the shock when it comes.
This title is available from Dark Horse Comics online, on iOS and Android. You can get it in single issues, or like this in trade. If you like your vampires dark – darker than Blade or 30 Days of Night, then this is for you.
