Review: 2000AD – Prog 1842

An interesting cover from 2000AD, it looks more modern than it looks! A second look gives you more detail!

There’s a new story for Judge Dredd carrying on the ‘God City’ theme from last years excellent crossover in Scavengers. There’s a nice build here and a selection of characters who seem to gel well. This is a good looking story which could build to something big. The threat of the nukes make it a high stakes game for Dredd.

Defoe gets to the point in The Dammed with some deal making and a choice for Defoe. This series is getting more sinister, and there are some good character moments here. I’m interested to see how others react to the potential deal on offer here!

In Age of the Wolf III the Wolfworld is different to what we know now. This issue is all about the chase, but this time it’s the wolves being hunted. There are some interesting points here, from power (runes) to ammunition (moonlight). The art is crisp and strong and easy to read too!

It all starts to go wrong for Dexter in Sinister Dexter: Last Rites with the preparations for Ramone, but the build has been very good here, and the ride to this point has been some of the best for this duo!

The Ten-Seconders meet the parents here and it all starts from here! The nice twist ending looks like that it’s all going to kick off from this point! The darkness of the scenes continues to be an excellent point in this series and I’m enjoying this!
