Reviews: Batman Inc & Detective Comics Annual

From DC Comics we have Detective Comics Annual #2 and Grant Morrison’s final Batman Inc!

Batman Incorporated #13 reaches it’s conclusion and there is a nice tying off of some of the pieces, while some are left to remain for others to use. There’s still questions to be answered, but in all we get a nice conclusion – the back and forth part of the story was well done, as was Bruce Wayne’s answers – both to Jim Gordon as Bruce and to us who know the stories. The reveal at the end was not unexpected and makes sense for the story as a whole. The art I enjoyed and I thought the beat up Bruce was excellent!

Detective Comics Annual #2 has a selection of stories based around the same mimic – it’s nicely done as the main story gives you the gist and capture of ‘Jane Doe’ There’s some brilliant twists here, and a villain who could be good against Batman or even his foes. The back up’s of Harvey and Jane Doe were also excellent. You don’t need to be reading any of the others to read this!
