Review: The Trial of The Punisher #1

I always think that The Punisher is a hard character to fit into today’s Marvel Universe – with aliens, mutants and alternate dimensions – so, short mini series may be the way to go…
This is a dark Marvel Comics series, where Frank has handed himself in for the death of a DA – we know he has an alternate plan, the police know, and his attorney knows it too – we just don’t know what.
This works well and the commentary after states that although Frank has been in prison before, he’s never actually had a trial, so there are some courtroom dramas to come too.
The art is sufficiently gritty and well suited for the style of the story and I’m geared up for #2’s conclusion!
