Review: Code Monkey Save World #1

A put-upon coding monkey teams up with a seething, lovelorn super-villain to fight robots, office worker zombies, and maybe even each other as they struggle to impress the amazing women for whom they fruitlessly long. Based on the songs of internet superstar musician Jonathan Coulton.

Monkeybrain Comics bring us something different once again! This time with Monkeys! Ponies! and both? This first issue manages to give us a suitable amount of laughs and a little sadness at the same time! With a fun storyline with little explanations over the whys – which we don’t need!
The characters are brilliant. The Code Monkey, the Super-Villain and the supporting cast all have their parts to play and look to have something in the future. The comedy is well done, with tech jokes and Super Villain jokes as well!

The art is excellent and has some good close up panels and wide shots.

I’ve set up my alert and look forward to reading more!
