Review: Death Sentence #1

The first part of this 6-parter from Titan Comics!

deathsentence1

What would you do with superpowers – and six months to live?

That’s the dilemma facing three people who’ve contracted the G+ Virus, a terrifying new sexually-transmitted infection.

What can graphic designer Verity, failing indie guitarist Weasel and roguish media personality Monty do in the time they have left? Fade away – or go out in a blaze of glory?

This new series starts off a little disjointed, but by the end of the issue, it all starts coming together. There are a lot of characters to deal with here, and a lot of issues, but by the end we get an idea on where the series is going. I like the dark style of art in this comic, and it clashes ever so neatly with the cover, but also complements it. The idea of an STD that kills, but gives super powers is a novel one, and those who are highlighted here are so different it’s going to be fun seeing how they deal with it!
