Review: Five Ghosts #6

5 ghosts-6-1

NOW AN ONGOING SERIES! Fabian travels to Japan to aid an old ally in the search for a mythical weapon: the legendary sword known as MASAMUNE! A special stand-alone tale featuring artist GARRY BROWN (The Massive, Mass Effect)!

Spinning out of the excellent mini series, I’m glad to see this as an ongoing! This one shot has enough for those who read the original series and something for those new readers to encourage them to pick up the first collection!

For new readers there’s a nice rundown and showing off of the skills of the five ghosts. It works well as a standalone story which new readers can get into the style of the story.
For established readers there’s hints to what was behind Fabian’s problems as well as some nice throwbacks to his history. The story is well crafted, with pacing working well. The flashbacks make a nice touch to this – rounding off the character nicely!

5 ghosts-6-2

The style of the art suits the story extremely well, with the ghosts looking over, or looking out for Fabian. This is something new/old for readers to enjoy!
