Digital Comics Review: Universe #2

Issue #1 covered time and space, while this issue is more static, there is still a lot going on here with this love story with a twist!

Kicking off with big splash page, we get a story which could use smaller panels, but why do that when printing restrictions are not an issue?

Last issues story was a story of corporate greed, time travel and space. This issue, while set in the same world deals with love – in this case robots that are programmed to love. And they start to go wrong….

What follows after is an investigation into why this is happening – why are the robots killing their lovers? In the course of the investigation we also get a closer look at the world that is being built in the issues.
Again the panel layouts work well here, with big screen size panels, which take advantage of the screen, showing as much as possible to pour your eyes over…

The colouring continues to be fantastic in this, with some bright, Utopian colours, but we know all is not right in this world!
The story finishes of with another nice twist – this time using what seemed like a throwaway reference in the the first half of the story, it was well worked, and there are perhaps aspects within this story which can be used in later ones too!
