This issue gives a good idea of the states methods – from dealing with the masses, to dealing with those who do not conform. There are some touching parts which also ram home to the band how important their gigs are. The mention of books and Harry Potter is a nice touch – one that I have actually experienced firsthand!
This issue takes a bit of a slowdown, but not at the expense of the story, which works really well!

We’re only on issue #3 of this 7 issue so there’s a way to go as the church get closer to discovering the band and stopping them!
