  1. Who are you and what are you working on right now? (2 questions in 1, I know!)

ClickOnComics is the first subscription-based web application that allows comic book readers the ability to stream a variety of digital comics from publishers all around the world. Our mission is to help people find and explore their favorite comic book heroes online. As we undertake this mission, we aspire to develop a service that users and publishers will love.

Currently, we are working on building the comic book community, bringing in your favorite comic book stories, and transforming the comic book experience via our website. As we grow, we will allow our consumers to partake in our social events, where they will get the opportunity to meet with their favorite publishers and experience their favorite superhero stories.

  1. What drew you to digital comics?

We weren’t happy with the experience that came from buying a digital comic. Growing up, going to comic book shop and geeking out with your friends was part of the buying experience. It made buying comic books fun and entertaining. We lost some of that experience when things went digital. We wanted to change that, we wanted to create a platform that would not only unite all of our favorite stories, but also bring the experience of buying a comic book from your local shop online.

  1. Webcomics or digital comics?

Both. One can’t go wrong with either medium when reading a great story.

  1. What do you think works with digital comics?

Digital comics are easily accessible to people all around the world. Making it easy for anyone to pick up a book and start reading.

  1. Can digital comics replace print comics?

There is a distinct feeling you get when you’re reading and turning the page of a comic book. Today, I know plenty of people that love print comics and also have a digital collection they can conveniently read anywhere. I don’t believe that digital comics will completely replace print comics anytime soon, but I do believe that digital comics have changed how the reader reads his collection.

  1. How can print comics work with digital comics?

We believe that both mediums compliment one another and already work well together. In just the past couple of years, print comics have allowed many new readers to pick up their first digital copy and vice-versa.

  1. What don’t you like about digital comics?

This may sound bias, but we LOVE digital. Especially when it’s done right.

  1. What digital comics/webcomics do you read?

There are so many I’ve read on a regular basis, but some of my favorite stories are Inhumans, Blackest Night, The Death and Return of Superman, Watchmen, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and the Astonishing X-Men Motion Comics series.

  1. Where do you see digital comics going from here?

We see digital comics continuing to transform the comic book industry. We’ve seen it over the last couple of years with motion comics, digital distribution, and now create your platforms. And we are excited to see where it goes next.

  1. Who do you think we should look out for in digital comics?

We really think that independent publishers will be able to sell and distribute their content more efficiently in this digital age.
