Reviews: Grimm Fairy Tales & Grimm Fairy Tales: White Queen

Two new digital comics from Zenescope!

Grimm Fairy Tales #109 starts off a new two part story, featuring Wulf who was recently expelled from Arcane Acre. He quickly settles in to his new school, and there are flashes of what is to come for him – via some dreams at Arcane Acre and the Beowulf. The reveal is gruesome and bloody, but there are some nice actions scenes and and ending of sorts. There are some interesting parts here and I’m surprised that Zenescope hasn’t dealt with the Beowulf before, but this is a brilliant introduction. The back and forth between the students works well and it’s nice to see things outside the main school!

Grimm Fairy Tales: White Queen #3 completes this tie-in mini-series to the main Age Of Darkness series. The cracks are continuing to appear for the Dark Queen, and this series adds more to them. There are victories in some ways here, but there are also losses on both sides. The information here from the White Queen is very interesting, and explains the Dark Queen’s problem with Wonderland very well! The action is excellent, and shows Callie’s evolution well!

Role on more Age Of Darkness!
