Reviews: Nova & Thor

image

Nova #29 restarts Sam’s quest to find his father – the Black Nov before him. He thinks he has a plan, and even he agrees that it’s not the best plan and could cause some problems. Even he hasn’t foreseen how bad. We get a cameo from Captain Marvel, and it looks like more of her next issue, which could prove fortunate for Sam. This series continues that “Ultimate Spider-Man”feel, so jump on here!

Thor #7 starts the build up to the reveal of who this new Thor is! Just as things look darkest for Thor – fighting the Destroyer controlled by Odin’s mad brother – things look up on the last page with an arrival. Those paying attention can start to check off who this new Thor isn’t and can work on who it is until next issue!
This series is an enjoyable read for new readers and brings some new ideas and issues for older readers!
