Review: 2000 AD Prog 1929

Thoughts on the latest Prog!

1929

An amazing cover of Dredd this issue!

A new story kicks off in Judge Dredd with Breaking Bud – references a discovery found in a previous arc, although not in a way that distances new readers. There’s going to be a level of revenge here, and an interesting side arc after the last one!

Part six of Orlok: Agent of East Meg One – The Rasputin Caper pits the two East Meg judges against each other in an old fashioned spy flick way! There is also an interesting look to the future!

Slaine continues the flashbacks and the approaching army in The Brutania Chronicles – the approaching army comes closer too – close enough to have their first, short, meeting with Slaine!

In Greay Area: Locked In we gain a further understanding of the people of this world and their thoughts of space as the god-star approaches. There also seems to be a plan – I’m not sure how that’s going to work out though!

Johnny Alpha continues his mission in The Stix Fix, worming his way into a hive of scum and villainy! Johnny seems to have a plan, but there also seems to be things stacked against him – the NKD and this Stix informant!
