Review: 2000 AD Prog 1930

Featuring Slaine in this weeks Prog!

1930

In this weeks 2000 AD….

Judge Dredd continues the story of “Breaking Bud” with the low-level employee getting his revenge on those who have wronged him! Dredd is on the case, but you can’t help but root for the poor misfortune Bud! There’s a degree of humour here, and I’m really enjoying the art!

Terror Tales: Phase Shift is a short one-shot story in the theme of Future Shocks – this horror tale features science, ghosts and mad scientists – a pretty grim and grey horror with a nice twist, albeit one you could see coming!

The slaughter in Slaine continues with the soldiers being picked off with the axe-wielding celt doing what he does best. This was a quick episode, without so much of the deepness of the previous ones. Some great big panels to look at though!

Grey Area: Locked In continues the fight against the God-Star, with the crew working with the other aliens to get out and lead the fight back. There are some excellent back and forths here, and the plan looks like it’s going ahead – but not all are happy!

Part seven of Stontium Dog – The Stix Fix – finds Johnny settling into the hive of scum and villainy, where a number of old enemies have spotted him. He’s not out of the woods yet, but he looks to have a plan.
