Review: 2000 AD Prog 1931

Johnny Alpha features in the latest Prog from 2000 AD

Judge Dredd: Breaking Bud starts off in gruesome fashion, with Dredd discovering two bodies from last week – he is hot on the trail in this issue while Bud continues with his plan to make things better for him and his family. Meanwhile other time travelers have plans for the band that Bud has!

Grey Area picks up from where we left off – I have to admit the writing of the captors of the team is excellent – I feel how frustrating they must be to deal with them! Meanwhile Manners has decided to deal with everything bothering him – once and for all! The team have a good idea how to deal with this though, and I think it’s totally justified!

Slaine continues the use of lots of red – blood pouring out, but then Slaine discovers the reasons behind his recent ills and who is involved – harking back to the beginning of these chronicles! Things don’t look good for Slaine by the end…

A new arc of Tharg’s 3rillers kicks off this prog with Commercial Break – which features advertising – it’s an interesting story with and interesting hook at the end of this part – I want to see where this goes!

Finally in Strontium Dog – The Stix Fix, Johnny Alpha finally finds out what it’s all about! The Stix gang, the kidnapping and who’s all involved! It all makes sense and how Johnny gets out of this doesn’t look good as there are traps on the horizon!
