Reviews: S.H.I.E.L.D. & Nova

Reviews of two of this weeks digital comics from Marvel Comics

S.H.I.E.L.D. #6

The mysteries bubbling up since issue one stand revealed, and S.H.I.E.L.D., battered, broken and with no back-up, has to somehow protect Earth from the Mindless Plague!

DIG058334_2

This has building up and hinted at since issue #1 and we get a fast paced ending to it. There is a nice bit of humour added in as well. The use of the whole of the Marvel Universe is taken advantage here, with a new squad to fight the mindless ones! This continues to be a great read and is unique to all the others out there!

Nova #31

The world is under threat, and it’s up to Sam Alexander, A.K.A. Nova, and his friends Beta Ray Bill, Doc Green, the Guardians of the Galaxy, and Cosmo to save the planet! You won’t believe the end of this issue!
DIG058333_2Going out with a bang, this has been a brilliant series, with some excellent moments between family, Axis, and space battles. There is the reunion we’ve been waiting for since #1, as well as a look to the future if needs be! I really like this series and want to see the return of Sam as Nova!
