Review: Barb Wire #1

Nail-hard tough and drop-dead gorgeous, Barb Wire is the baddest bounty hunter on the mean streets of Steel Harbor, where gangsters can lift bulldozers and leap rusting factories in a single bound. The hunting is stupid good and the bounties are hella big—if Barb lives long enough to collect!

This new series from Dark Horse Comics starts out with a bang! There is a lot of action going on here, but also some quieter times! With running a bar, bounty hunting and keeping things going, Barb Wire has a lot on her plate! This is an excellent introduction to people who are new to the series, or those who know the character and the world she lives in!
The art work is excellent – both interiors and the cover (see above).
There is a lot of set up for the future issues too – with the possibility of Barb Wire being able to buy her own bar! The government crack-down on anti-social behavior is going to make things harder too!

This was an impulse buy for me – one of two of them, but I’m glad I did!
