Judge Dredd // Enceladus: Old Life
Dredd and the city continue to battle against the alien ice combined with the disgraced Judges from Enceladus. There are many death, and Nixon/Ice seems to have her/its sights on Dredd for herself, so it will be interesting to see how this all goes for the City – especially with the ice causing the civilians to freeze to death! The Judges seem to have realised one thing – Fire beats Ice!
The Alienist // The Haunting of Hex House
A new story which starts off as a ghost hunting story – like you see on TV – and quickly turns into something more. It seems originally cheesy, but then gets quite gruesome! We finish the issue with the introduction of the ‘professionals’ next week we’ll learn more on them I’m sure!
Outlier // Dark Symmetries
This finishes of this arc, and we get some left in limbo as we learn more of the Hurde and their methods. There are some interesting scenes and difficult decisions for some of the characters, but it’s all going to lead up to something big between the Hurde and humans. A good ending….for now!
Jaegir // Tartarus
Jaegir’s investigation completes, and there seems to be more to come for her as the last page shows – family problems? The action is really good, and there’s a surprising save as the ‘monsters’ of Nord Land attack. This is a welcome addition to the Rogue Trooper world!
Helium
Part 11 and we get a look at the issues that are below the poison cloud – there seems to be more political issues for them below as above. I was worried that this was going to slow down, but seems to be as good as world building as Brass Sun!
