Cyborg operative Agent 1.22 is an emissary of T.E.R.R.A, cryogenically preserved in deep sleep between assignments. When external communication is lost with Fortress DX-B Biotech Facility, agent 1.22’s Mother-Ship S.S. Mnemosyne proceeds to the third moon of Pandora 5 to discover the fate of the facility and its staff.
Who is Agent 1.22? How did she become a cyborg? Can she stop the dreaded Tempest Virus before it makes its way to Earth?
Kicking off with a real nice Sci-Fi opening with thoughts of 2001 and Aliens springing to mind we get a good introduction to Agent 1.22 and her thoughts and instructions as we see this mission from beginning to end. It’s an excellent issue #0 as we get a done-in-one story with an interesting beginning, middle and end.
In addition to this we also get something for the long term with some mysterious overseers as well as a potential antagonist “director”. The action is smooth with some good action sequences – explosions, guns, a time limit and spaceships – and of course a virus. It all makes up an excellent yarn!
The art is fantastic and well in keeping with the story here – the building up to Agent 1.22 being deployed was brilliant and some of the larger panels (including an excellent full page shot) make this a pleasure to read!
You can get Agent 1.22 on Amazon Kindle and on Indy Planet – this is a perfect opportunity for Sci-Fi fans to start on what looks like an interesting series!
