The sold out, cult hit blackand- white issue is back, now in full color! Followed by all-new issues that continue the bloody adventures of the world’s most feared animal, the Grizzly Shark!

Well…I have to admit i bought this on a whim, and I’m so very glad I did! A done-in-one issue, I must admit that I was sitting reading this chuckling – even after I finished, I wanted a re-read as this made me smile so much. This is the sort of comic I want to show people – completely random in it’s concept, but so much fun! The story is great, with a rich cast of characters, and their different ways. The art is excellent, which even works on a smaller phone screen – so you can show it off at the pub (as I did!) And then there is the shark – a pure force of nature roaming through the forest! don’t forget, they can smell blood and can see you if you don’t move!

An ideal jumping-on point. Persephone, live. The question is, will it be for more than one night? Don’t call it a comeback, as JAMIE McKELVIE and MATT WILSON return to THE WICKED + THE DIVINE for the most rock-androll everything-explodes arc of the hit series.

This is a good jumping on point, and a fast moving issue to boot. There is a lot going on here and it moves fast, so it’s definitely worth a re-read to pick up some of the items you may have missed on the first pass. The art and layout continue to be excellent – especially when you take in the brilliant colouring and panels. Things are happening and moving on with these gods!

The Fix #1

From the creators of The Superior Foes of Spider-Man, comes a story of the crooked cops, scheming mobsters, and corrupt politicians that run things—and the sex toy that can bring them all down. Oh, and the hero is a drug-sniffing beagle named Pretzels. Bad people do bad things to each other in this frenetic, outrageous, sometimes off-putting new caper! If you liked classic crime comics like CRIMINAL and 100 Bullets we apologize in advance for letting you down!

Not Criminal or 100 Bullets, but still an interesting and intriguing read in this new series. the Fix starts us off with a robbery, gives us some history, lays out the boss of bosses and his ways and finally introduces us to the enemy (no not that one, the other one!) there are some funny parts going on here, and I do hope that the twist to this tale doesn’t grow stale – otherwise it could have some legs. I’m really unsure as to what to think about how this will all pan out, but I enjoyed it!

Think Tank: Creative Destruction #1

An unknown enemy destroys the technological infrastructure of the United States. Panic and conspiracy theories spread as David Loren and his misfit science team continue work on the TALOS project, trying to make “Iron Man” suits a reality in California.

I am so glad to see this series making a [easyazon_link identifier=”1607066602″ locale=”UK” tag=”3milyea-21″]return[/easyazon_link]- not only is the story excellent, but I do feel as if I am learning about real world issues and tech at the same time. There isn’t as much science in this issue as we get the set up, a reintroduction to the cast and some excellent humour as David doesn’t know how to deal with people. There are some nice parts with the supporting cast, and I expect we’re going to get more of them in future issues!
