Review: 2000 AD Prog 1982

My thoughts on this weeks 2000 AD – Prog 1982

1982

  • joyce continues to be on the run in Brit-Cit in The Lion’s Den. There is a quite good chase scene as he tries to get to wherever he is planning to go – meanwhile Dredd gets a couple of panels. Back in Mega City One, the cracks are beginning to show with the alliance between Mega City One and Texas City – things don’t look good for the city, Dredd and Joyce!
  • Slaine and Gort start the fight back against the Cith and there is some nice building for the two as we follow their escape – Slaine and Gort seem to have the deck stacked against them by the Cith and expect to see lots of blood next issue!
  • Brink continues the investigation into these cults and the investigation makes a good narration for the reader about the space station. We also get some nice back-and-forths between the two detectives – the reveal in the final panel helps lead up to the rest of this investigation….
  • We get a one-shot Time Twisters story and this is a real twisty time story with different generations, time travel and gangsters! It’s a fun one shot with a fun ending too!
  • Finally we return to Grey Area with the aptly titles Endgame with the humans and aliens teaming up to defeat the god-star. There’s a quiet time between the battles as they regroup and then it’s go, go, go! There are also some nice character moments – especially at the end!
