Reviews: Injection, Velvet & Saga

One word titles from Image Comics this week – reviewed!

It looks as if we are coming to the end of this story arc, and we are getting to the end of this investigation and learning the link to what the Injection has to do with it. All the characters have been well crafted and we are now getting to a point where we know some of their reactions before they happen. That’s how well they’ve been written. The art continues to be excellent, with some nice panels and also panel designs in terms out layout and style – depending on what is going on. There’s some mad stuff here, long may it continue!

In this penultimate issue to the arc, Velvet gets a number of answers, but we don’t so we have to get the next issue. No complaints here as I really enjoy this series which seems to be suitably dark and full of action for the times and style of the story. There’s a lot of mystery here, with Velvet working things out and making the ultimate attack – kidnapping the president. The questioning was well done, telling us just enough to keep going along with Velvet to learn some more. The art continues to be incredible, with the colouring and lettering complimenting it so well! Next issue we get the conclusion to the arc!

The ending of the arc finishes here, and it leaves you in the postition of wanting more. We get rescues all round with The Will, Marko & Alana, their daughter, Prince Robot and the press guys. There’s some semblance of a happy ending to the arc, but I guess it really depends on your point of view! The looks on both their faces say it all! Roll on the next arc!
