Review: 2000 AD Prog 1984

Thoughts on this weeks Prog from 2000 AD

1984

Nice!

We get an excellent bit of Judge Dredd in the Lions Den – only a bit mind you, but it makes you really want to see what happens next! Don’t get me wrong though, the bits with Joyce and Armitage are excellent too, and I can’t wait to see what happens next, an excellent part!

We get some more bonding between Slain and Gort next with some interesting flashbacks to Slaines’ childhood with his mother. It’s an interesting read as she justifies herself to him and explains about his father. All building on the mythos!

Brink gets downright weird as we carry on from last issue – is it hours or minutes. There’s also a lot going on here as things rapidly go downhill for the investigation! It’s pretty fast moving in this prog, which is a change to the previous progs!

Part two of Black Shuck continues with Shuck dealing with the problems of the birth of his child – there is a lot of talk here, but it builds up the problems that may come about! The art is excellent and there is a nice twist at the end that is only going to cause more problems!

Grey Area completes the wedding and jumps right into a violent honeymoon. Meanwhile we get a good look into the plan to defeat the god-star, and things move on!
