A Day Out At The Lightbox Gallery – The Story of British Comics So Far: Cor! By Gum! Zarjaz!

I missed the opening, but I got out to Woking to see this comics exhibition today!

For £5 per adult you not only get entry into the exhibition, but you also get entry into The Lightbox for a whole year – that is an absolute bargain!

Similar to the exhibition at the British Library this exhibition features comics and cartoons through the ages in the UK, with some excellent layouts and items to read. There are even some things for the kids to do – including making their own comic strips!

From the old satirical cartoons featuring Whigs & Tories, to the political cartoons of today, to items from Beezer, Warrior, Eagle, 2000 AD and towards the future with Electricomics on the iPad – this was an excellent day out!
