Review: 2000 AD Prog 1996

My thoughts on this weeks 2000AD

1996

I’m glad to see the return of Jaegir to 2000AD!

Judge Dredd’s hunt for PJ Maybe starts with a plan in this issue, and it looks as though Dredd has his trap all ready for the serial killer. It’s interesting to see this voice in Maybes’ head, and I wonder where that will lead. Things go south for Dredd and it looks as though PJ Maybe has caught him out again!

Scarlet Traces gives me a feel of Flash Gordon – alone on an alien planet with creatures after them – there still seems to be some secrets lurking though, and I wonder what they are!

Jaegir: Warchild kicks off with a fight and this prog is a small introduction to the world and what it looks like is coming – finally the confrontation with her father! The ending is interesting and shows a different side to Jaegir!

Part seven of Outlier: Survivors guilt gives us the two side plotting against each other. Carcer seems to have something up his sleeve – the “static” is far too obvious, and the earth commanders are betraying one of their own to get one over the hurde! Have they discovered this too late?

We get the answers about the shooter in The Candidate, but do we know it all – it seems as though Anderson does, but it may be too late! This is a fun read and I’m looking forward to seeing where it goes next!
