My thoughts on this weeks 2000 AD – Prog 2003
Always good to see Rogue Trooper on the front cover!
Get Sin concludes Judge Dredd’s adventure in the East Meg, as we understand all the parts of this mission. It’s a nice way to wrap up some of the issues dealt with previously and maybe even give us something going forward. Full of action and some classic Dredd and Andersson moments!
Flesh starts of with violence and finishes with the threat of more violence as the tension builds between all the different parties involved in this time-travelling yarn. It’s building up nicely and the final page gets us to the point where we know it will all kick off very soon! Dark and foreboding!
We get some Rogue Trooper as we learn more on the deal that the traitor has made with the criminal cartel. The GI is an integral part of this trade he is making and it looks like he has already made plans for Rogue and is leading him into a trap. It also looks like he has been a little too clever (or one of the Norts are) and there may be more than they all bargained for!
In Savage, we get more of a understanding of the newer characters – as well as what Savage’s mission will be. It all seems quite cloak and dagger stuff until we get to the end of the issue and the real sci-fi stuff gets in – looks like an immediate problem for Bill!
Counterfeit Girl takes us through the world as Libra tries everything possible to cure her of the intelligent virus on her! With all the mad art and colours this is an excellent part, and things go quickly downhill as she tries one last thing – I don’t know what this will mean, but I’m enjoying the read!
