Review – Inferno: Resurrection #5

Virgil survives the fall but is in critical condition. Frank tells Mercy she needs to talk to Lucifer and takes her to meet Lori, who has the means to get Mercy into the Inferno for a brief time. Mercy finally learns through Lucifer that she’s unwittingly woken a sleeping giant. If Raum’s full power is unleashed, it would mean the end of humanity. Mercy, in a race against time, must now find a way to stop one of the most powerful demons to ever walk the Earth.

After a quick check in on Virgil, Mercy gets things moving. This is quite a fast paced issue, with a lot of action, and only a small amount of sitting around talking. The ending (part one) was quite predictable, I did think that this was the way it was going to go. The final parts though were very interesting and it looks as though we are going to see more of Mercy in the future – a nice set up!
