Trying to be a super-hero, Ruby Kaye stumbles across a mysterious and extremely dangerous new villain taking down her town’s Numero Uno heroine – and is forced to step up and use her powers for more than just accidentally knocking drinks over her friends… Geek-Girl is entering the Super-Hero Big Leagues – whether she’s ready or not!
AAM-MarkosiaWritten by Sam Johnson Art by Carlos GrandaGeek-Girl jumps right into it all, kicking us off with a bit of action, then leading us into the origin story for those who may have not read #0. We do get some nice world building here, not just in the superhero world – including two other superheroes and one super villain, but we also get some look into the world of Ruby and those around her. It looks like things are not going well in both worlds of this superhero. We get the meangirls and we’ve got the alpha-male superhero!I really enjoyed this read and recommend it as something different for you to read. The tone is just right. The art style is erfect, with nice crisp lines and great colouring too!Get Geek-Girl #1 On comiXology here!
