Reviews: E.V.I.L. Heroes & Spirit Hunters

E.V.I.L. Heroes #3 & Spirit Hunters #1

My thoughts on this weeks digital comics from Zenescope

With the new recruit in place their training seems to be up. It seems there are some doubts on their readiness though as they go off to their first mission. Their mission is a success, but not without a cost. The ‘gods’ meanwhile feel the passing of one of their own and it looks like the cracks are beginning to show….
I’m enjoying this series and as the ending shows things keep getting ramped up – strike and counter strike!

Starting off with a death, this new maxi-series kicks off by introducing the team and their distinct personalities in a good mystery solving fashion. We have the teacher/professor, the psychic, the detective and the skeptic – they all seem to work together well. It’s a good, clean introduction, with enough mystery to get the team interested, while giving us some points leading forward into the max-series. I’m sure there is more to come, and next issue looks pretty interesting from the preview at the end!
