Reviews: Flash & Hellblazer

Flash #11 & Hellblazer #4

My thoughts on two digital comics from DC Comics

We get some explanations as Flash and Kid Flash find themselves in the shadow world. They’re not alone as the Shade is there to greet them and explain ll. Things don’t look good and I got a feel of The Darkness in this issue (maybe it’s all the shadow creatures) There is a little bit of bonding between Barry and Wally and I wonder how far that will go before Wally discovers that Barry is the Flash.
When we get to the end, it looks like we’re going to get a rescue mission from the two speedsters, but then there is a very nice twist in the tale!

This was an excellent issue, and I flitted from worried to smiling as I read it. There is some excellent Constantine bastardry at work here, as he deals with two birds in one stone. We’ve got Djinn, right wingers and also the adventures of Mercury and Swamp thing. things come round in a circle though as by the end it looks like there is a link between the two. Chas’s interaction with John is interesting too – he’s heard what happens to John’s ‘friends’ and think this is it for him! I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next!
