Reviews: Back To The Future & Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Universe

My thoughts on two digital comics from IDW Publishing – the latest issues of Back To The Future and TMNT Universe

We get to the bottom of the multiple Martys’ in this issue, and it’s a fun read. I like the running commentary we get from Doc Brown – it adds to the excitement as well as the humour we would expect from this series. The mission for the arc is very good, with some nice twists and turns. I especially like the reveal of the villain of the piece and part of his plan!
the art mixes well with the tone of the story, cartoony and well done!
Next issue looks to be interesting!

The main story in this issue is a done-in-one winter story. There are no Turtles – but this is a TMNT ‘Universe’ book! in this issue we have Old Hob and Leatherback – both of them going after Hun! Yes, we get to see what Hun has been up to since the main story of the TMNT – and he seems to have reverted to type. It’s a good story and may lead up to something in the future – I like the Old Hob character, and I think he does have some redeeming features!
In the back up we get the ending to the LEo story where he has been going through some nightmare dreamscape. It finishes off how I would expect, but does have some interesting links to one of the threads of the main TMNT series!
