Reviews: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Dirk Gently: The Salmon Of Doubt

Dirk Gently: The Salmon Of Doubt #6 & Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #68

My thoughts on two of this weeks digital comics from IDW Publishing

Ok, so in this issue, we have multi-dimensional fun, time travel (?) two different versions of Dirk, the characters from the Dirk Gently TV show. We get the Rowdy 4, and monsters in another dimension. With all of this, this is one of the lesser confusing issues of this story arc. Everything seems to make sense and everything is getting connected. The art styles mesh really well with the story – be it characters from the TV show, monsters and goblins, cats and more. Dirk (the comic Dirk) seems to be finally on top of everything, so I’m looking forward to seeing it finish off!

This was an interesting issue. Hob, after escaping from the attack goes to the only place he can for help – to the Turtles. The TMNT are obviously distrustful, but they follow along with Hob. It’s interesting as Hob has to bury the hatchet slightly to help his family! Meanwhile we get a look at the prisoners. I still think that Slash is going to be the difference when we get to the end of this arc, but the conversations between the agent and the Manta Ray mutant are very interesting – as is the references to Null and the TMNT Universe initial arc! It looks like the agency are going to take a bit of a loss, but I wonder what the cost will be!
