My thoughts on two of the latest digital comics from IDW Publishing – Saucer State and TMNT Universe
Cross The West Wing/House Of Cards with the X-Files and this is what you get. I loved the original series and this issue gives us a brief rundown and then we jump right back in. We get a President wanting to see if the truth is out there, post-truth and aliens and more. This all builds up really well, giving us equal time with all the characters, while building up the possible threat. An excellent beginning to this mini-series and the story!
The main story completes the arc for the Toad’s Baron and it’s a really good fun read as the duo of Alopex and Nobody decide to ruin the party. I really like the way they go about it, and the reaction of the Toad Baron works well too. It looks like we’re going to get a link with the main series too!
The back up is a short and sweet story of the dreams of the cute member of the family. Lovely art and weird to see the TMNT without their masks!
