Reviews: Eclipse, I Hate Fairyland & Shirtless Bear-Hunter

Eclipse #8, I Hate Fairyland #13 & Shirtless Bear-Hunter #1

My thoughts on some digital comics from Image Comics

The end to this second arc and we’re really not sure who to trust! I enjoyed this issue, it was full of action and had some really good character moments. We’ve not been given all the answers yet, but we are closer to the truth as we learn more about these people who can survive the sun. I like the fact we have two stories here – yes they are connected, but at the moment they are running parallel to each other!
Hopefully the next part will be coming soon!

This is a Larry-centric issue, with a fun dream sequence looking at what Larry’s life would have been like if had not met Gert. At first things look to go well, with Larry excelling at school and being the best guide there is – then things go downhill. It’s quite a dark issue – even if it’s a dream! Things go really bad for Larry and then he hits rock bottom. A nice way of dealing with the long journey to Gert’s next mission!

Wow! This was mad – along the same lines as Sharkbear! What we have is a shirtless bear-hunter. He’s more than that too – for most of the issue, he’s more than shirtless! We do get some heavy pixels though, so don’t worry. It’s a crazy story full of family, betrayal and fighting bears!
