I thought that this was going to be a story all about the Pantheon, don’t get me wrong it is very entertaining. I like the fact that we get all of them (well…except for one) in one room. And the build up to them all arriving was really well done. I like the banter between them all, and I must say I find the Rat King the best – but that may say more about me! We also get an idea of the plans for the future and what they think about the mutants – referring back to previous issues of TMNT and TMNT Universe. The fate of Shredder is also covered here, and what was planned for him! the ending was a nice twist and sets up the next issue really well – I like the reveal and it makes sense!
This was an interesting issue after last issues big reveal – the aliens are real and they’re coming to earth. This issue was all about the fallout behind that all. The President steps up to the plate and takes charge! There’s an inner cabinet, new moves for peace, preperations for war and lots more. This is all the type of manic action that fits so well in this series. Yes there is some shooting and a little bit of weirdness, but among all the alien hysteria it all seems so human. The reactions of all the various people over the world is excellent and a little bit tongue in cheek. I can imagine that this is how it would be if we were contacted.
Ah yes, there is some real alien weirdness at the end – and I really don’t know what to make of that!
