Reviews: Grimm Fairy Tales, GFT Swimsuit Special & The Courier

My thoughts on this weeks digital comics from Zenescope Entertainment

This swimsuit special kicks off with a nice, funny (in a way) short story, which links in well to the Grimm Fairy Tales series. The beach location not only fits with the theme of the issue (obviously) but also with the theme of the villain of the moment. I like the finishing move too! Skylar’s reaction is fun too!
The rest of the issue is made up of some pin-ups of the ladies of Grimm fairy Tales of Zenescope!
Including:

  • Robyn Locksley
  • Cinderella
  • Goblin Queen
  • Natalyia
  • Alice Liddle
  • Liesel Van Helsing
  • Hellchild
  • Keres
  • Rapunzel
  • Adalaide Du Lac
  • Mercy Dante
  • Mary Medina
  • Masumi
  • Zamora
  • Sela Mathers
  • Dorothy & Glinda
  • Calie Liddle
  • Queen Of Hearts
  • Belle
  • Baba Yaga
  • Britney Waters
  • Erich (The Little Mermaid)
  • Jasmine
  • Sela & Belinda

Skylar is sent out on her own to find a new student for the school. And in this issue we get a good link between the GFT series and the Order Of The Tarot. This must directly follow on from the Robyn Hood issue with Tarot the other week, due the appearance of the Forsaken. Skylar doesn’t fully understand what is going on and Shang is yet to explain it all to her. It’s obvious that he knows about the order – and we will probably find out more soon!

The penultimate part of The Courier really stacks the deck against Eve and Franklin. They’ve got a dodgy bike, a biker gang on their heels and primals out in full force. This is a fast pacved issue which sets us up nicely for the final issue. I particularly like the flashbacks to the previous times for both Eve and Franklin, it shows what they have and what happened to them all.
