Reviews: The Wicked + The Divine & Samaritan

The Wicked + The Divine #29 & Samaritan #2

My thoughts on two digital comics from Image Comics

This is a hangover issue, with the morning after the night before! There is a slower pace to all this as the pantheon make a search for one of their number. Of course there are repercussions for what has already happened. And there is bound to be some more out of this. In all there are some excellent character moments, with a lot more going on between the relationships of them all. I love the art and the use of light (or lack of it) is brilliantly used here!

Sam’s vengance against the President and those around him continue. Things do not all go to plan as her moves are already making waves, so she finds herself under attack. There are many different agencies, and they all seem to have different stakes and reasons into why they want her (dead or alive). the action is good and fleeting – the attack on Sam at the beginning (that escalates quickly) as well as the kidnapping attempt at the end. Things are moving on, and I think we all can’t wait for the President to get what he deserves!
