Review: Clonsters

My review of Clonsters

Written by Pat & Amy Shand
Art by Vanessa Cardinali

Clonsters is a one shot graphic novel about the adventure that earth nugget Polly goes on to save her splat TeeTee and other splats from everywhere. A long time ago in the land of Nuggetiza the sky and clouds lit up and something magical happened, next thing you know the splats have arrived and are kept by the earth nuggets as friendly companions. Now some nuggets, like Polly’s nemesis Jekka, like to hunt the splats for their magic horn this story is about what happens when that goes wrong!
In my opinion Clonsters has a very interesting storyline with lots of fun made up places and creatures, characters such as Polly’s brothers Neal and Bort add a comedic side to the story and are bound to make you laugh at least once!
The art is very different and diverse which adds more amusement to the characters and the setting.
I like the plot because it is in usual and a very original idea and uses very creative writing. In some ways, I think the plot is a little bit long and takes a little while to get to the point, but once it gets to the point it is a very satisfying read.
I would recommend this book to people who enjoy the fantasy aspects of this story.
Clonsters will be available from Space Between Entertainment – keep an eye out for it’s release!
