Review: Doppelganger #1

Timid computer engineer Dennis Zimmann gets his life turned inside out after a car crash leaves him with a concussion – and a demon. Believing that he’s hallucinating as a result of his head injury, Dennis’ grip on reality fully unravels when an evil version of himself begins to torment him.

I think the tag line of this series really covers it – the worst enemy of Dennis Zimmann is Dennis Zimmann!
I really like the buildup to all of this, it really gives us a look at Dennis and the world he lives in. He’s bullied, timid and he’s just been in a car accident. The reveal of his doppelganger is also interesting. He’s him, but with something more, I like the conversation between the two, although it does get a little confusing as to which Dennis is talking and acting.
(The original) Dennis doesn’t initially believe and I don’t blame him, although it is proved to him in quite a grim way – I think that proves it to us really well too!
The art works really well with this and the colouring is a good aspect too – with the colours linking the time of day and the locations really well!
This looks like a quite twisted story with some interesting possibilities!
